The Hawkins Kennedy Test is used to find out a possible shoulder or subacromial impingement. This test can yield false positives & false negatives, so use it as one in all many diagnostic tests. Shoulder impingement stretches & exercises:
The Hawkins Kennedy Test is performed by placing the patient’s shoulder in 90 degrees of flexion with the elbow in 90 degrees of flexion. Then you definately internally rotate the arm. A positive test is pain with internal rotation.
Nevertheless, pain may occur if a patient has a rotator cuff tear, labral tear, or other problems with the shoulder including bursitis and tendonitis.
