To perform PNF lower extremity D1:
1. Standing up, start along with your leg in a figure 4 position along with your hip flexed and rotated out to the side. Your foot needs to be flexed and turned inward.
2. Move your leg down and out along with your hip prolonged and rotated inward. Your foot should now be pointed and outward.
