The primary exercise goes to be the ankle alphabet. Attempt to only move at your ankle, keeping the remainder of your leg in a single spot. You may do uppercase, lower case, and even spell out words.
The following exercise is an ankle pump. You’re going to pull your toes up at your ankle, after which push down like you’re pushing on a pedal. That is dorsiflexion and plantarflexion. You may prop your ankle up on something for those who want, but keep your heel free to maneuver around.
The last one is an out and in movement, almost like a windshield wiper. Again, try to only move at your ankle and never your whole leg. That is inversion and eversion on the ankle.
